Non-recourse Debt

A type of debt in which the borrower is not liable more than it is stated in the agreement. If someone borrows money for buying real estate, in the non-recourse debt type when the only collateral is real estate, if the borrower defaults, lender can seize the property and the buyer has no personally liability no more, even if the seized property does not cover full amount owed.
